“Theoretical Overview of Iron-based superconductors and its future”

Apr. 08 (Fri.), 13:30 PM, E6-2. 1st fl. #1501
Dr. Yunkyu Bang, Chonnam National Univ.

In this lecture, I will review the current status of our theoretical understanding of the Fe-based superconductors, in comparison with experiments. In the second part, I will focus on the recent hot issue of the FeSe monolayer on SrTiO3, which shows nominal Tc  of 60K to 100K, and the related systems such as AxFe2-ySe2  (Tc ~ 30K), (Li1-xFex)OHFe1-ySe (Tc ~ 41K). This new family of FeSe-compounds commonly has only electron pockets but nevertheless possesses relatively high Tc, hence provided us a new challenge for our theoretical paradigm to understand the unconventional superconductivity of the Fe-based superconducting families.
