Title : Modular functions and 3D N=4 rank-zero superconformal field theories
 
Recently, an intriguing relationship has been discovered between 3D N=4 rank-0 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) and 2D non-unitary rational conformal field theories (RCFTs). Key physical quantities in 2D RCFTs are conformal characters, which are mathematically given by modular functions.  I will discuss the relation between modular functions in fermionic sum representations and 3D N=2 abelian gauge theories that flow to rank-0 N=4 SCFTs in the infrared.
