Recently, vanadium-based layered kagome systems AV3Sb5 (A = K, Rb, Cs) have attracted much attention as a novel host of unconventional charge-density waves and superconductivity orders. We present density-functional and mean-field theories that predict intriguing physics based on the monolayered version of the layered AV3Sb5. We uncover the unique electronic structure of the monolayer. Notably, we show that the reduced dimensionality significantly affects the formation of the van Hove singularities in their numbers and types, leading to enriched instabilities in the pristine monolayer systems. Various correlated order parameters are considered to lift the instability based on the Hubbard-type electron-electron interactions. This leads to enriched electronic phase diagrams, comprising doublets of 2×2 commensurate charge density waves, incommensurate charge density waves, and s- and d-wave superconductivities. Our findings will be timely suggestive of a new research direction for vanadium-based kagome metals.
