Topic: Dark matter searches in Water Cherenkov Detectors

Abstract:
We want to know what dark matter is. For that, Water Cherenkov Detectors have been investigating WIMP-induced signals through indirect detection. By examining excess of neutrinos from the Galactic center, Sun, or Earth, beyond the atmospheric neutrino background, competitive sensitivity to WIMPs with masses down to 1 GeV has been achieved.

Despite tremendous efforts over the past decades, not much has been learned. As a result, we've grown more inventive. Various ideas for leveraging the current and upcoming neutrino experiments in dark matter searches are being explored. For example, some scenario predicts boosted dark matter which can be directly seen in the experimental volume.

In this talk, I will summarize recent findings and on-going analyses in indirect and direct dark matter searches in Super-Kamiokande. Additionally, I'll outline the potential for future dark matter searches. I'll dive into the techniques employed in our pursuit of light dark matter, including the application of Machine Learning.
