Abstract:
IBM, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Intel, Alibaba와 같은 글로벌 IT 기업들이 양자 컴퓨터의 상용화에 관심을 가짐에 따라 양자 컴퓨터 생태계가 점차 형성되고 있는 가운데, 최근에는 포획된 이온을 큐비트로 사용하여 양자 컴퓨터를 개발하는 IonQ사의 뉴욕 증시 상장 계획이 알려짐에 따라 이온트랩에 대해서도 많은 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 세미나에서는 이온트랩 기반의 양자 컴퓨팅 및 양자 네트워크 관련하여 진행 중인 몇가지 연구들을 소개할 예정이다. 특히, 개별 이온들의 포획부터 양자 상태의 제어, 거리가 떨어진 이온 양자비트 간의 양자 얽힘 등 양자 정보 처리에 필요한 다양한 연구들에 대해 살펴보고 앞으로 해결해야 하는 문제들과 전망에 대해 논의할 예정이다.
