[KAIST Ig-Nobel Prizes]
■ Application
Research which is silly, quirky and considered unworthy of publication in
mainstream professional journals, but demonstrate academic depth
Research worthy of Ig-Nobel prizes.
■ Eligibility
- Undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students from the College of
Natural Sciences/ individual or team
- In case of a team consisting of undergraduate students, at least 1
graduate student should be included.
■ Research Grant
KRW 100,000 ~ KRW 10 million
(Allocation of personnel expenses is not allowed.)
■ Project application & Announcement of Fund Recipients
- Please submit a research proposal containing research purpose,
research description and detailed budget by June 20. There is no
prescribed format and it should not exceed five pages
(including the cover page.)
- Presentation of a research proposal (less than 10 minutes) is scheduled
for June 26 (it should not exceed 5 pages including the slide cover.)
■ Detailed Schedule
- May 20, 2015 : Call for entries and starting accepting applications
- June 20, 2015 : Deadline for application submission
- June 21, 2015 : Screening of research proposals
- June 26, 2015 : Review of presentations
- June 30, 2015 : Selection of grant recipients and notification to the
Office of Research Affairs
- July 01, 2015 : Commencement of research projects
- December 2015 : Completion of research projects
- January 2016 : Announcement of results and award winning projects
